With my hobby for editing videos and my passion for photography, I’ve decided to combine both and create a short, time-lapse video of the beautiful, island of Maui. Although I have given this video the title “No Ka Oi” (the best), I believe it is somewhat ironic. I initially began this project with absolutely no time-lapse experience. So obtaining all of the pictures was an extensive learning process. And due to a lack of any budget for production, all footage had to be taken in a single attempt all during my free time. The process from start to finish took over one year.
Looking back on my project, I deeply regret not being able to capture moments in places such as Hana, Kihei, and Kaupo. On the brighter side, I am very happy with all that I’ve learned and the places I have gotten to visit from this project. Even just finishing the time-lapse project was satisfying and a complete relief. I hope you enjoy this video!

After couple months of delay, I’m finally finishing up my video. I decided to do a simple black and white title instead of fancy animation.

I really hope Spurs win this year. We really need a champion like them. Athletes playing fundamental basketball every player doing they’re role and not complaining. Sportsmanship acts and not caring about being in a spot lights. NBA became such a lame soap opera with bunch of spoiled over paid cry babies. Kobe and the Lakers, instead of just Lakers like rest of the team doesn’t even matters. Miami’s big three, their arrogant comments and dirty frustrating plays or behaviors. Durant and Westbrook’s who should shine on stage. Howard, Melo, Griffin, and etc. Spoiled athletes with no discipline, no rookie treatments, all about fame, money and attentions. I guess that’s what people love to watch, that’s why TV shows like Jersey Shore or Real House Wives of wherever gets so much fans. Oh well, don’t really care but hope they win. I just want to see simple thing can overcome fancy things with loaded power. Not just basketball but it relates to everything we do in life. I think that’s important.
